Part IV …

continued …

A huge white cumulonimbus cloud unfolded through the window into plain view of where she was crouching. Then, through the creeping thunderhead cloud came a massive creature. She was shocked. To her utter amazement, the horrid creature stepped out of the huge cloud that was positioned so ominously in a once clear blue sky.

The massive creature walked straight through the window!  Without any hesitation of direction the daemon (demon, daimôn) of sort – surely the Devil himself – made its way directly to where the woman was positioned.  The beast reached out with one of its humongous taloned hands and picked the woman up.  To her amazement she had become a statue – in its hands she had become more like a tiny figurine.

A voice deep within her calmly spoke and said, “Do not breathe.”

The creature seemed enthralled by the delicate figurine turning it about as if admiring the handiwork.  It held the woman, now statue, so close that she could feel its torrid breath.

“Do not breathe,” the soft, kind voice continued to prompt from within.

After what seemed like an eternity, the daemon put the figurine back against the dresser, on the floor and proceeded to step past her . . .

As the light began to fade, Toura found herself aroused from her sleep breathing profusely – gasping and panting for air.  She frantically looked around the room recognizing it as her own.  After a few moments her breathing slowed to normal.  She was safe in her bed, in her room and it had all been a dream.
